Planetary Climate Circulation Models (GCMs)

General Circulation Models (GCMs) are mathematical models that simulate the overall circulation of the atmosphere and oceans based on physical laws. These models aim to accurately represent atmospheric and oceanic processes in order to predict the magnitude and direction of global climate changes, as well as at least large-scale regional changes. Climate model projections, aligned with climate change scenarios, provide essential information for assessing potential impacts.
