When the problem lies somewhere else

Whenever I hear 'It's just a game' I wonder about the context. While appropriate in some situations (= it's not a big deal), it is baffling how many people use the same words to diminish someone else's work & achievements without realizing that it's in fact not 'just a game' that needs to be addressed. It's their own character & attitude.
