China Launches Qianfan Polar Orbit-02 Satellite Group - China's Answer to SpaceX's Starlink

A modified Long March-6 rocket carrying a group of Thousand Sails satellites blasted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province.

Thousand Sails is a proposed "mega constellation" of communication satellites designed to deliver high-speed internet across the globe.

Chinese state media revealed that the country aims to launch up to 15,000 of the satellites into orbit by 2030.
