The Barber Half Dollar was minted from 1892 to 1915, replacing the seated liberty half dollar design. Designed by Charles E. Barber, the coin features a Lady Liberty bust obverse (front) and a Heraldic eagle on the reverse (back).

The Barber Half Dollar was minted in Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, and New Orleans. The mintage varied by year and mint, with some dates and mints being more scarce than others. For example, the 1904-S Barber Half Dollar had a low mintage of 553,038 coins, and not distributed well across the country. Many of these coins remained in US Mint bags, making them more rare and valuable today.

Many key dates exist in this series such as the 1892 O, 1895 S, 1913 P, 1915 P and the 1914 P having the lowest mintage of 138,000.
