20240917 155601 Tux Outdoors First Time

This is the very first time that I've let #Tux outside the front door. I have my shoes on just in case he bolts for some reason. Have to do this during the day, otherwise he'd be impossible to chase down at night given the camo coat that he wears. Let's hope that it never comes to that. There's lots of trees on the property, so there's that problem too. From his previous life he's extremely good at navigating stairs, so being on an upper floor isn't any kind of defense if he tries to get away for any reason.

I really have to try to get him into the harness and used to it ASAP. He really seems like he's wanting to go out. He did live all of his former life 100% outdoors, so nothing is foreign to him out here, except for maybe the assortment of local bugs.
