Dr. Russell Blaylock serves as the associate editor-in-chief of the Neuroinflammatory section of the journal Surgical Neurology International and as an editor of the Neuropsychiatry section of the same journal. He also serves on the editorial staff of the International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice and Research. Dr. Blaylock received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1971. He then completed a surgical internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and was the first intern to serve on the nation’s newly created burn and trauma unit directed by Dr. Curtis Arts and Dr. John Moncrief. He completed his neurosurgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Along with Dr. Ludwig Kempe, Professor of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, he developed the transcallosal removal of intraventricular meningiomas. Dr. Blaylock was board certified in clinical nutrition in 2007 and for two years, served as an instructor for the certification program of the Foundation for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He has written five books on medical subjects and chapters in six medical textbooks, each of which he illustrated. He co-authored the book, “Cellular and Molecular Biology of Autism Spectrum Disorders,” writes a monthly newsletter called “The Blaylock Wellness Report” and recently published “The Liver Cure.”
