First, they applaud the University of Nevada women’s volleyball team for refusing to compete against San Jose State due to safety concerns over a biological male on the opposing team. Nevada becomes the fifth Mountain West Conference team to boycott San Jose State. Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo supports the players, while the university issues a much less clear response.

Next, we break down the revised 2022 violent crime statistics, which reveal many more violent crimes than originally reported.
