Cave Exploration Survey Project | We Found a Hidden Underground Lake!

We went back to our cave survey project in North Alabama. Our nickname for this project is Helheim Cave. This cave is in a hard-to-reach spot and hasn’t been visited much since it was found over 30 years ago. We noticed that this cave is one of the biggest in Alabama, but it didn’t have a map. So, we decided to create one ourselves. This is our twentieth trip to the cave.

In the past, we focused on surveying from the second entrance (E2), but this time, we chose to start at the first entrance (E1). E1 has a pit entrance, so we needed to use ropes and special climbing gear to explore it. We are getting close to six miles of explored cave, and we are excited because it might be a ten-mile cave!

During this trip, we made some amazing discoveries. Watch the video to see what we found! Please subscribe to our channel to get the latest updates on this exciting project.
