For years, I thought peace was something I could achieve once I ticked off all the right boxes – success, money, relationships. But inner peace doesn’t come from any of that.

What no one around me ever told me was that peace is an inside job.

They don’t talk about it, not because they don’t care, but because many people don’t know how to find it themselves. Or they simply don’t want to be disturbed by your change, especially when it goes against their expectations of who you should be.

Parents, siblings, and friends often feel uncomfortable when you start doing what serves you because it challenges their own comfort zones. They’ve gotten used to a version of you, and your growth can feel like a disruption to their reality​.

So, I had to figure out for myself that creating peace meant letting go of old habits, bad relationships, and negative thinking. It meant getting uncomfortable and making real changes, not just in my external world but in the way I approached life internally.

And let me tell you, when I started focusing on what brought me peace instead of what others expected of me, everything shifted. I stopped chasing success and started living with intention.
