Elections officials in Waynesboro County, Virginia have filed a lawsuit saying they will NOT certify the results of the 2024 election because the voting machines violate Virginia's Constitution

They're asking for the city to “allow observers & cameras to monitor, livestream, and record the counting of the votes with ballots scanned and made available as a public record.”

“I swore to uphold the state's Constitution, and it says that ballots cannot be counted in secret. And yet, when you put your ballot in the machine, it goes in this black box, and you have no idea what that machine’s doing.” - Elections Board Chairman Curtis Lilly

I think Governor Youngkin and AG Jason Miyares should take this very seriously. They need to ensure that the physical ballots can be audited afterward. The machines aren't going anywhere before the election, but we can guarantee accountability for any bad actors. I'm a very big fan of the lawsuit because it shines a bright light on this before the election and not AFTER shenanigans happen.
