On The Long Journey Home

I wrote this song, On The Long Journey Home, for my son Adam Cochrane's memorial. He died July 6, 2024. He'd served in Iraq, while in the Army, and somehow sustained spinal injury, PTSD, and was terribly depressed. He was given medication and was supposed to be monitored for 72 hours. He was released after 12 hours. I found out about his death 9 days later. We had no power for 9 1/2 days because of Hurricane Byral. Adam took his own life. He was 28 years old, at the time of his death, and he was my only child here on Earth. Adam was highly talented in languages. He spoke at least five languages and was expert IT in the area of computer security. He could also sing opera in German and Italian. He was also an expert marksman.
