Chili Bean is a member of the Ail-Mint family.
Chili Bean costs 50 Sun. (-25 Sun at level 9.)
When a normal or Imp-sized eats Chili Bean, that zombie is defeated.
Said zombie will release gas - aka farts. This fart cloud will stall all zombies behind it for 7.5 seconds. (+0.5 seconds per level).
When given plant food, Chili Bean will clone itself three (3) times. (+1 at levels 5 and 10.)
Chili Bean has a 20 second recharge. (-1 second per level.)

Commentary:
The ability to eliminate a single zombie no matter how tough that zombie is definitely warrants a closer look.

Chili Bean is a great early level plant. The ability to defeat most first zombies on column 1 or 2 gives the player more time to plant those Sun Producers and build a proper defense against the horde.

Chili Bean is also a decent staller. Chili Bean can shut down a lane for a decent amount of time. Not exactly a bad thing.

Bottom line:
Chili Bean is a solid early plant with decent situational uses later on in the level. This is a plant which can and should make its way into most strategies.
