Joker 2 Getting Dumped onto Streaming After Less Than a Month

It has been announced that Joker: Folie à Deux will be going to streaming platforms less than a month after the movie premiered in theaters.

This is a reaction by the studio to the poor box office performance for the sequel to 2019’s Joker. This follow-up had a horrible opening weekend only to suffer a record-breaking week two box office drop for a comic book movie. Releasing Joker 2 on streaming platforms may help the studio recoup some of their cost, but as for its theatrical performance, it looks like this movie could lose hundreds of million for Warner Bros.
