“They bombed our tent at 1:30 am, my brother and mother died in the fire.”
The brother of 20-year-old Shaaban al-Dalu, who was filmed burning to death after an Israeli strike targeted tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in the yards of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, on Monday, said that his brother had survived an earlier Israeli strike on 6 October, which targeted al-Aqsa Martyrs' Mosque where he had been sleeping.
A pre-dawn Israeli air strike hit the yards of al-Aqsa Martyrs' Hospital in Deir al-Balah on Monday, causing a fire in makeshift tents used by displaced people.
At least four people were killed, including Shaaban and his mother, and 40 were wounded, some seriously, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
