Ever heard people who know nothing about the Bible, but they will bring up the phrase “Judge not lest ye be judged”? Or perhaps, “He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone”? It’s often used to try and shut down those who are simply making moral judgments about the person’s actions. It is not an attempt to make a judicial judgment. We’ll take a look at the context of the passages I just referenced so that you will be equipped to point people to exactly what is being said and correct their error. We'll do this in light of recent comments by the ignorant who sought to defend the false prophet Julie Green.
