Sundance Film Festival is Moving…WHERE!?

Did you know Sundance Film Festival is moving? Sundance is currently in Park City, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City. It’s considering cities like Cincinnati, Ohio, and Atlanta, Georgia for its 2027 event. The way I see it, there are five reasons they’re considering moving. First, is space. It’s way too big for Park City, which limits the festival’s ability to grow and drives costs up for attendees. It also causes massive traffic issues for the city, along with making rental prices and hotel costs massively swell. The winter climate for a festival in January/February is horrible. The area developed a lot in ways not beneficial to the festival during the pandemic. To summarize it, Sundance has outgrown its home and is looking for a warmer place to happen.
