Cops Pull Me Over For Recording Them & I Handle The Situation - IMV Films
ReUpload, since YouTube capped its views below 1 million:
On 8/26/2019 around 1515 hours, this Alachua County Sheriff's Office cruiser had been staking out my local bank for an unknown period of time. The Sheriff's vehicle was backed into the bank's corner parking spot, in line with the last drive-through teller lane, secluded by bushes from the access road and main road. Deputies were clearly watching the drive-through teller lanes and ATM from this position. They began moving and pulled out right after I finished my business, possibly due to retaliatory D.A.V.I.D. system investigation of my license plate displaying lawful, protected speech. There was no reasonable articulate suspicion of any crime.

In my opinion, ACSO has shown a pattern, training, or policy of enforcing FL state statutes without reading them properly, or relevant caselaw. This seems plainly incompetent. They have also shown repeated indifference to the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments in my opinion.
I tracked House and Senate bill language prior to and after July 1, 2019. "Holding a phone" is not proscribed conduct unless operating in an active work zone with workers present, active school zone, or active school crosswalk. None of those apply here. The statutes could not and should not reach videotaping, recording, or camera function. There is no safety issue here.
I assert my inalienable rights to record speech, create press, and publish videos of government officials. I will also continue to exercise the pursuit of other inalienable rights, secured against government overreach in spirit by the Ninth Amendment, such as driving a manual transmission vehicle with one hand on the steering wheel, or holding a cup of coffee and operating one-handed as well. I'm not distracted by any of these liberties, and I'm not distracted by the liberty to hold a camera device for my safety and record, which just so happens to be a mobile phone.
Please read the FL Statutes:
Please politely contact ACSO and let them know how you feel about this issue. Primary offense traffic stops based on "holding a device" should be challenged in court in my opinion.
