Mom warned me about this | Why parents should take responsibility for kids swimming education?

Like many teenage boys I wanted to jump to the water from rocks and hold my breath for very long.

In this video I’m talking about how my overprotective Mom probably saved me from being irresponsible and doing that despite not knowing how to swim.

After many years I’ve discovered that instilling the respect for water is crucial no matter how strong of a swimmer your child is.

Since majority of drownings happen to young boys and adolescent men, we need to spread the message as wide as possible to prevent further tragedies.

Hi, my name is Alan Cie. I learned to swim at the age of 32 and it changed my life. I'm making swimming and water an integral part of my life, my job, and my future business.

I talk about anything that is related to swimming, water safety, and water sports. If you would like to offer a collaboration or a joined video together, please reach out via email or Twitter / X.
