Making Shelves with Old Worn Shutters

Today we are adding a set of towel shelves in the master bathroom. Our budget has been getting tighter as the cost of everything continues to go up. We do not have the budget to purchase premade shelves, so we have to make them from scratch. What do we have in the barn that we could use? How about some old beat up window shutters?
