Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a grave warning to the United States regarding its potential deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system to Israel. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Araghchi emphasised that Iran has “no red lines” when it comes to defending its national interests. His remarks come amidst speculation that the U.S. may send THAAD systems to Israel to counter any possible Iranian retaliation following escalating military actions in the region.

Araghchi criticised the U.S. for supplying an unprecedented amount of arms to Israel during its ongoing conflict with Gaza, stating that such actions not only heighten tensions but also endanger the lives of American troops stationed in the region. He warned, “While we have made tremendous efforts in recent days to contain an all-out war in our region, I say it clearly that we have no red lines in defending our people and interests.”
