In today's new podcast episode, I had on my friend Ahmed Mayan, who we realized we've known each other for the past 12+ years and every time we lose touch we somehow always end up reconnected so this episode was meant to be! This conversation was about Ahmed telling me all about the religion of Islam and the pillars of Islam, and me being the open minded person who's always learning, I was all ears! We spoke about the importance of being high character and how that is what is most important to us above all. He also told me all about his trip to Mecca which involved a crazy health scare, which of course I can relate to, but how we adopted the perspective of how when we are challenged God/Allah sees potential in us and this is just a test! I fully believe that conversations like these with people of different backgrounds are more pivotal than ever in our world because conversations and communication create understanding, unity, and peace as opposed to the divisiveness that we see on TV! What we often realize when we talk to others is that we are more alike than we are different and also there is something to be learned from everyone.
