Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series.
My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.

In this episode check out a new Steampunk Shooter called Skautfold Into The Fray, which was developed and published by one person development team Pugware. Into The Fray is the third entry in the Skautfold series, set in an alternate version of Victorian England during the 1900, with the story taking place shortly after the conclusion of the last game Skautfold: Usurper. With England still recovering after the invasion of a gigantic alien
ship called the Cidatel, with Waltham, the mysterious necromancer having commandeered it for his own mysterious agenda. the Holy Empire Of Britannia have begun to push back the fog, along with the lovecraftian horrors lurking within.

However a new threat emerges, in the form of Lillian, the daughter of the now deceased Mad King Guildford. She has also gone mad, and has allied herself with an American Terrorist Group called the Sons Of Washington, who are attempting to commune with the Elder Gods, releasing them upon the Earth in order to rule over it.

The player controls Hito, 3rd Knight of the Holy Empire Of Britannia and antagonist of the previous games, who has been sent to the Island Of Portland, birthplace of the fog. His mission is to capture Lillian at any cost as well as destroying the Sons Of Washington once and for all. Into The Fray departs from the approach of the previous games in the Skautfold series, adopting a more fast pace as an Isometric Shooter. Whilst this is quite a change, the gameplay is surprisingly good, with a fast paced, shooting experience, boasting a wide variety of enemies and impressive array of weapons on offer. Furthermore the game builds upon the story, characters and lore established in the previous games, including their distinct look and feel. The only downside to the game was that it is a little short

Into The Fray is another excellent entry in the Skautfold series, with a campaign that can be enjoyed by those new to the series, as well as returning fans. While the game is a little on the short side, it does offer some replayability with a variety of collectables, 4 different difficulties as well as an Pure Action Arcade Mode, and an RPG Mode allowing players to customise their character build

Please note: All opinions in this video are my own. Game was provided by the developer for review purposes
