The architecture of the Aspendos Ancient Theater, built by the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the 2nd century AD, was commissioned by the Greek Zeno, one of the leading figures of the period. The origins of the Perge Ancient City, which is on the UNESCO temporary heritage list, date back to the Bronze Age. The city, which was important in the context of the Roman Empire, is about 20 kilometers away from Antalya city center. Perge Ancient City, which is as large and magnificent as other ancient cities in Antalya, hosts many visitors from different countries every day of the year.
