Walz goes pheasant hunting as campaign makes appeal to gun owners

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz participated in the state’s pheasant hunting season opener, spending three hours in tall grass without getting a shot off.

Despite his efforts, his friend Scott Rall was the only one to make a kill, but the bird was lost in thick brush.

Walz joked about the day and referenced safety, drawing parallels to a 2006 hunting accident involving Dick Cheney, CBS News has reported.
