Plant of the Week - Hurrikale - was offered between October 12, 2024 through October 19, 2024.

Hurrikale is a member of the Contain-Mint family.
Hurrikale costs 100 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 3, 7 and 10.)
Hurrikale blows zombies back for 3 seconds. (+0.5 seconds at levels 2-7.)
Hurrikale chills zombies for 8 seconds. (+1 second at levels 2-9.)

Commentary:
This doesn't sound too impressive when you read it but this blowback is a minimum of 5 tiles and at higher levels, can push zombies from column 1 all the way back to the beginning.

Bottom line:
Hurrikale does not do any damage but is a great staller. Hurrikale can stall normal speed zombies in three lanes indefinitely. This is great for levels where one must produce X Sun and Hurrikale will gladly assist in this quest.

Hurrikale is great in the early game - where one can allow that first zombie to almost transverse the lawn and then make this zombie walk the lawn again. This gives the player time to set up their Sun production.

Hurrikale also will cluster a lot of zombies into a tight space, making plants like Squash, Potato Mine, Lava Guava and the like that much more effective.

So while Hurrikale will not be a first pick on many levels, this plant definitely has its uses and one should consider it when the need arises.
