In today’s video Jess and I are talking about why so many people have been set up to fail in their first mining job. We talk about why it’s so important to survive the first 6 months and how people are still getting tricked into thinking that getting the job is the big hurdle you have to get over (using a magic resume). When getting the job is the easy bit compared to keeping it if you aren’t prepared for what you are about to get into on site. No point spending $500 to $1000 on a magic resume if you only last 3 days in the job.
As always it pays to know how the system works to take advantage of it. Knowing how the mine works, is the skill all the employers want, that most New Starters over look when trying to get their first job.
