In today’s video we do a first-time viewing reaction to Nova Rockafeller’s song “Call Me (Bat Man)!”
As I go back into the older parts of Nova’s catalog I enjoy her music a lot but some of the lyrics show a lot of what I remember when I was younger. Many of my friends were into drugs, drinking, or other things that in the end, did not support future success.
Fun is great, don’t get me wrong, but what did we do to earn it? Later in life, Nova has been very successful but her and Tom were on the edge of not paying bills at all. Their success is the exception, not the rule.
Taking the risk of the party lifestyle and hoping you have the same success is a risk not worth taking! I’m happy for Nova and Tom’s success and I like that her music changed as she grew up! This is the lesson we should learn.
