Surmai/Seer/King Fish Curry
Ingredients of this Fish
Fish 800g
Shallots 8 Nos
Green Chillies 3 Nos
Coriander Powder 1 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder 1 tablespoon
Turmeric (Haldi) Powder 1 teaspoon
Grated Coconut 3/4 Cup
Salt to taste
Method:
1)In a vessel add the ground paste along with water ,
2)Marinate the cleaned seer fish /surmai fish/king fish along with a little salt and keep aside.
3)once the curry has boiled well add the fish to it.
4)cover and cook for a few seconds ,then open the lid and add soaked kokum along with the water
Ingredients For The Baghar:
Coconut Oil 3 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds 1 tablespoon
Fenugreek (Methi) Half teaspoon
Ginger 6g
Garlic 4 Cloves
Tomato 1 Nos
Curry leaves 10-15 nos

For The Baghar:
Oil 4 tbsp
Mustard Seeds (rai)1 tbsp
Fenugreek (Methi) Half tsp
Ginger 6g
Garlic 4 Cloves
Tomato 1 Nos
Curry leaves
1)Heat oil in a pan add the methi seeds, then add the mustard seeds let it crackle
then add the crushed ginger garlic and fry well till the raw smell goes,then add the thinly sliced shallots and curry leaves
fry well then add the thinly
sliced tomatoes.
2)Once soft and mushy add the baghar to the fish curry cover and cook for a few
seconds and the delicious curry is ready.
