Most people think that if they pay a lot for “good health insurance”, that everything will be covered for them in case of a major medical emergency.

But once you look into insurance premiums, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, out-of-network costs, and maybe a few denied claims, the costs really adds up.

In fact, many people who need help financially on GoFundMe or similar platforms have health insurance!! So why are insured people dealing with medical debt or even bankruptcy? It’s sad and wrong on so many levels.
