Biden Denounces Spread of Hurricane Conspiracies: "We're Breaking Through the Lies..."

On Friday, U.S. President Joe Biden condemned the rise of conspiracy theories surrounding Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. He blamed these online falsehoods on "extreme people" and praised Republican governors and officials for pushing back against such misinformation.

“I believe those spreading these lies to undermine the opposition will face consequences,” Biden stated.

He also clarified that while he didn't think Trump was "solely responsible" for spreading misinformation, he described him as "the loudest voice."
