🕊️✨ Is Yom Kippur for Christians?

Well ... did you know that Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, holds profound significance for all believers? As it begins at sundown tonight in Israel, let's reflect on its timeless message.

In Leviticus 16:34, God commands, “This shall be a statute forever for you, that atonement may be made for the people of Israel once a year because of all their sins.”

This call to repentance is not just a Jewish observance; it’s a divine invitation for every follower of Yeshua, who fully embraced this sacred day.

Jesus, a devout Jew, observed Yom Kippur, illustrating the importance of atonement and renewal.

In Matthew 5:17, He affirms, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

Embracing Yom Kippur allows followers of Jesus - even those not born Jewish - to deepen their faith and reconnect with God’s covenant.

As followers of Yeshua, we often focus on grace, yet we must not forget the call to repentance.

This sacred day invites us to examine our hearts and seek genuine reconciliation, echoing the words in 1 John 1:9:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

So, let’s not miss this opportunity! Join me in reflecting on our lives, seeking forgiveness, and embracing the depth of our faith.

Together, we can draw closer to the God of Israel and experience a profound transformation. 🙏💖
