Restoration Rusty Curved Knife

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. As usual, I found this curved knife at a flea market. Under a layer of rust, the handle of the knife was still is beautiful, and I bought it.

First, I removed the handle from the knife. I put the handle of the knife in solvent, to remove the glue and dirty of the handle. The blade I put in rust remover. Then I washed both parts. Due to that the blade was not tempered. I tempered it and made new bevels.

After that, I polished the blade. I had to clean the handle and re-cover it with an etching agent. The sheath for the curved knife I made of pine. Covered with natural thin leather. I also made the accessories for the scabbard fittings from brass.
