50 Spikeweed seeds are awarded for completing this event consisting of five (5) levels.

Plant of the Week - Spikeweed - was offered between October 10, 2024 through October 12, 2024.

Spikeweed is a member of the Spear-Mint family.
Spikeweed costs 100 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 3, 6 and 10.)
Spikeweed does 10 damage to zombies who step on him. (+5 damage on levels 2-7.)
Spikeweed will break open barrels, pianos, hamster balls and catapult zombies. This will destroy Spikeweed.

Commentary:
Most plants are afraid of the zombies and want to be as far away from them as possible. Not Spikeweed. He wants to be right under their undead feet.

Bottom line:
Spikeweed is a nice supplemental plant for many strategies as so few plants want to be planted on columns 7, 8 or 9. The only real problems we have encountered is that it is not easy to tell if Spikeweed is doing its job or not. The other one is that it seems to be better to put Spikeweed on column 8 first before column 9; especially in the early game.
