Ep 739 • Having HOPE in a Broken World • When the STORMS of LIFE are Raging Against you •

Right now STORMS are ravishing our country. Storms of our own doing, and storms we have little to no control over. We cannot avoid all of life's storms (according to Jesus), but we can choose how we go through them. Going through our storms JUST LIKE JESUS DID is the best possible way.

Mark 4:37-41

[37] "And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. [38] But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, 'Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?' [39] Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace, be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. [40] But He said to them, 'Why are you so FEARFUL? How is it that you have no faith?' [41] And they FEARED exceedingly, and said to one another, 'Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him'"

~ SINS THAT BRINGS DESPAIR WHILE IN A STORM ~

THERE ARE 3 BASIC KINDS OF SIN:

1. Sin you are ignorant of.
2. Sin you are NOT ignorant of, but hate.
3. Sin you are not ignorant of, but tolerate.

GOD. HATES. SIN.

Hebrews 1:8-9

[8] "But to the Son He says: 'Your Throne, O God, is forever and ever; A Scepter of righteousness is the Scepter of Your Kingdom. [9] You have Loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the Oil of gladness (joy) above than Your companions.”

I John 5:19
[19] "We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the (power) sway of the wicked one."

Revelation 12:9

[9] "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

1 John 2:1-4
[1] "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. [2] He is the Atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] We know that we have come to know Him if we keep His commands. [4] Whoever says, 'I know Him,' but does not do what He commands is a liar, and the Truth is not in that person."

1 John 2:9-11

[9] "Anyone who claims to be in the Light but hates a Brother or Sister is still in the darkness. [10] Anyone who Loves their Brother and Sister lives in the Light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. [11] But anyone who hates a Brother or Sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them."

1 John 15-17

[15] "Do not Love the world or anything in the world. If anyone Loves the world, Love for the Father is not in them. [16] For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. [17] The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."

1 John 2:18-19

[18] "Dear Children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. [19] They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us."
