TORNADO TRAGEDY: At Least 4 Killed in St. Lucie County, Florida, official says

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (AP) — A devastating tornado outbreak swept through St. Lucie County on Wednesday, leaving a trail of destruction and claiming the lives of at least four people, according to local officials.

The tornadoes, which touched down in the afternoon, brought widespread damage and chaos to the area, with multiple homes and businesses destroyed or severely damaged.

"We've lost four members of our community," said St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims."

Rescue teams are currently searching for survivors, with emergency services working to provide aid to those affected.
