Tar Heel Fudge & Pecan Pie

Chocolate & Pecans are the stars of this EASY Fudgy Tar Heel Pie! Recipe from the Kitchen of Mary Baker. This pie is also known as Sweetheart Fudge Pie

1 9-inch Pie Crust, preferably an All Butter Crust
1 Cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Cup Firmly Packed Light or Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Flour
2 Large Eggs, beaten
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 Cup Chopped Pecans or Walnuts, or substitute 1 Cup Peanut Butter chips or more Chocolate Chips

Bake Pie "until it is puffy, handsomely brown, somewhat dry and firm in the middle" Please don't overbake 😉
Note: this pie can be made like a brownie without a crust. Place ingredients in a well buttered 9-inch metal pie dish or 8x8 inch metal pan and bake.
