Nov. 26, 1964 - Gusts batted the big balloons from one side of the street to another, and the jutting finger of a lamppost finally punctured Dino the Dinosaur. This took the merriment out of Dino, but not out of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, which today went down Broadway for the 38th time. It had 10 marching bands, 100 or more clowns, and 20 colorful floats that carried pretty girls, film stars, a puppet show, T.V. entertainers, a steel band, a jazz band, and part of the Metropolitan Opera ballet company.
