The German government announced it will introduce stricter measures at its borders to stop irregular migration starting on September 16 and lasting for 6 months. The decision comes weeks after the attack in Solingen and growing concerns among citizens over the asylum seeking process.

Meanwhile, the Hungarian government warns it will bus irregular migrants arriving at the Hungarian-Serbian border to Brussels. Both countries (Hungary in particular) have received backlash from neighboring countries and the EU establishment for the potential ripple effects these intended policies could have.
