Viktor Orbán splits the European Parliament with presidential speech

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s presentation of his priorities for Hungary’s EU presidency sharply divided the European Parliament.

His supporters applauded, while critics, including the European People’s Party and left-wing MEPs, expressed concerns over corruption and the rule of law in Hungary.

Orbán was labeled an “autocrat” and “dictator” by opponents, while others criticized his foreign policy and migration stance.

However, Orbán’s defense of traditional family values and border control earned praise from right-wing factions, Euro News has reported.
