The contempt displayed by the staff during the phone calls was evident in their dismissive tone, obstructive behavior, and lack of empathy toward the urgent concerns for my son's safety. They were unprofessional and unhelpful, speaking over me, reframing my arguments, and refusing to acknowledge the importance of protecting a vulnerable child. This conduct is profoundly wrong because it not only impedes the resolution of critical child welfare issues but also represents a dereliction of duty by those entrusted to uphold justice and safeguard the well-being of citizens. Such behavior exacerbates the risk to the child and undermines public trust in the very institutions meant to protect our most vulnerable.
