Not Alone – As One
(Ode to the Indigenous) LYRICS:

I look at the land that is soiled by blood,
And I see my neighbours trudging through mud,
And in ruin –
They’re on their own…
Mothers are weeping, finding their children dead;
The sight of their corpses is spinning my head,
As I’m far away –
They’re on their own…
On their own…

Now, many are blinded; they don’t see what I know.
They keep watching the T.V. and a deceptive show;
And my people…
Still stand alone…
Their guns are blazing, and we’re still throwing stones.
We’re slaughtered in masses; no one’s counting our bones
And our voices…
Still cry alone…

All alone
All alone…

Yet, when hearts are together, not much is lost,
We’ll storm any weather, no matter the cost…
And our spirits…
Will rise as one…
We should keep it together, not come undone;
Hand in hand, we’ll see what we’ve won…
Together…
We’re not alone…

Not alone!
Not alone!
NOT ALONE!
Not alone…

We should keep it together, not come undone;
Hand in hand, we’ll see what we’ve won…
Together…
We’re not alone…
Not alone – as one…
Not Alone – As One
