Ubisoft's Monetization Director, Stevy Chassard, condemned the celebration of the company’s struggles, calling it “shameful” and labeling those in the industry doing the same as “non-decent human beings.” In a now-deleted LinkedIn post, he expressed sadness over gamers wishing ill on companies like Ubisoft and criticized industry peers for similar behavior. Chassard urged everyone to stop spreading hate, emphasizing unity instead. After backlash, he deleted the post. Following these controversies, the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been pushed to February 14, 2025.
