Growing up in a disordered environment, Jobert became addicted to vices at a very young age. He even rebelled when he found out that he was just adopted. In 1985, he attended a church service and accepted Christ, however his hedonistic lifestyle continued. Even his family rejected him and experienced living in a jeepney with his son from his first wife.
