When I first came to the Senate 2 years ago I made it a goal of mine to get to the bottom of this issue. So I got to work on securing an inquiry into the excess deaths phenomenon. After five motions on the issue, my fifth motion has succeeded in finally convincing the Senate to investigate why to this day more Australians are dying than ever before.
