The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov held talks with the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Kjelem de Tambela.

"We really appreciate the friendly nature of our relations and the established forms of cooperation between us. Russian-Burkinese relations are based on the principles of mutual respect, consideration of each other's interests and have gained positive momentum in recent years," the Russian Defense Minister said.

During the talks, the parties discussed current areas of cooperation between the two countries.

"I consider our meeting today to be another step in the development of our friendly relations," Andrei Belousov stressed.

In turn, the Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Appoliner Kjelem de Tambela, noted that "I am sincerely glad to see the relations that are being built between our countries today."

The Burkinese delegation is currently in Russia on the occasion of the forum "Economic Days of Burkina Faso".
