More Red And Green Tape Than A Christmas Tree!

Recently I spoke about the Labor Party's plan to introduce a $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund.

With this fund, the Labor Party will use your money to invest in a select few industries, creating an artificial boom for a few private businesses at your expense. This should worry us all.

This is another step towards socialism, this should not surprise you as Labor Treasurer Jim Chalmers did say in a recent 6000 word essay that he wanted to "remake capitalism".

As reporter Tom Dusevic from The Australian says, Jim Chalmers is:

"pledging greater government intervention to radically remake post-pandemic capitalism by redesigning energy, finance, labour, and social services markets...Labor will ditch the free-market policy consensus that has steered rich countries over two generations and fashion a values-based economy in partnership with business, unions and community groups."

They allege that by doing this they will rebuild business in Australia, such as rebuilding our manufacturing sector.

I argue that the best way to support business here in Australia is to cut red and green tape. Governments job is to get out of the way and create an environment whereby the private sector is able to effectively compete, take risks and satisfy demand.

More government is never the solution, government is almost always the problem.
