Kamala did not, and will not, support the middle class.

Every law that Kamala’s California has passed in the 40 years I have lived here hurts the middle class. As a long-term homeowner, I was a landlord in California for almost 40 years and, California’s housing crisis is their own fault because of their unfairly burdening landlords. Did you know that currently, evictions are hidden from the public, which strips landlords from being able to make an informed decision.

Delinquent tenants receive free legal aid funded by my tax dollars while I could not afford the exorbitant $450 per hour for legal assistance. It leaves me utterly disheartened when I had to sell my home due to Proposition 19 that was purposely passed during Covid 19 with new and crazy beneficiary requirements that have never been required before. I lost my Proposition 13 rights when I transferred my property due to being falsely accused and receiving the last blow to what I worked so hard for – my Santa Barbara home and ability to retire here.

I believe that in California I have been so disenfranchised because I worked so hard to own a home in one of the most desirable locations in Santa Barbara; a home the elite wanted.
