Dodging Yak shit... or hiking to Everest Base Camp Part 2

Welcome to Part 2, the hike and the return. The plane ride back at the end is quite interesting, I sort of wish the GoPro hadn't stabilized so much as it was very entertaining to say the least.

Took this trip in October 23. All the books recommended October as the best time as its after the rainy season but before the bad snows start and provides the best views of the mountains. Second best is supposedly in April timeframe. Although sadly we didn't get the greatest views most days due to weather.

I used a trekking company called The Explorer's Passage (www.explorerspassage.com). If you decide to utilize them definitely ask for the team Pu-roo and Sookbeer, they were an incredible team and Pu-roo knew everyone along the route and had a ton of information about the trail, mountaineering, and the culture in general. His dad was also a guide back in the day. Just great guys to trek with.

We ended up spending a little over than 10 days on the trail. There were a couple very long days when we made up for the missing 2 days by hauling ass along. Was all worth it though.

I look forward to doing my first livestream to kind of talk along through this. Watch for the announcement.

If you missed part 1 please check it out, link on my channel page.

Enjoy!
