HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 13:12-18
Gen 13:12-13 Good pasture and available water seemed like a wise choice to Lot at first. But he failed to recognize that wicked Sodom could provide temptations strong enough to destroy his family. Have you chosen to live or work in a "Sodom"? Even though you may be strong enough to resist the temptations, other members of your family may not. While God commands us to reach people in the "Sodom" near us, we must be careful not to become like the very people we are trying to reach.

Gen 13:14-15 So extensive a survey of the country, in all directions, can be obtained from no other point in the neighborhood; and those plains and hills, then lying desolate before the eyes of the solitary patriarch, were to be peopled with a mighty nation “like the dust of the earth in number,” as they were in Solomon’s time. God gave to Abraham all the land that Lot took.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 13:12-18
Gen 13:16-18 Abram was rewarded for being dependent on God. Lot wants to have everything and loses everything, Abram left everything for peace sake, and got everything back. Whoever leaves their choice to God wiil never be disappointed (Psa_22:5 ). Abram did not settle at Sodom, but at Hebron. “Hebron” means ‘fellowship’. Abram lives in fellowship with God. Again he builds an altar to worship the LORD. All we have enjoyed of the spiritual blessings God has given us will lead us to worship its Giver. When you 'trade with God', you do not lose anything. Se what this scripture says Mar 10:29-30 Jesus said, "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there is no one who has given up a house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, 30 who will not receive a hundred times as much now in the present age--houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms--along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.

Personal Supplication
Father, grant me the grace like Abraham, to seek peace and pursue it under all circumstrances in Jesus' name!
1 Pet 3:10-11
10 For let him who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good—whether apparent or not] keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit).
11 Let him turn away from wickedness and shun it, and let him do right. Let him search for peace (harmony; undisturbedness from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts) and seek it eagerly. [Do not merely desire peaceful relations with God, with your fellowmen, and with yourself, but pursue, go after them!]
