Taoists celebrate festival with extreme facial piercings

Taoists in Thailand took piercings to a whole new level on Sunday, impaling themselves with swords, secateurs, and other inappropriate items. The piercings are to atone for sins, and are said to ward off evil spirits. We imagine no evil spirit would dare mess with these guys.
